Greenville, SC – On November 20-21, the Bon Secours Wellness Arena was taken over by the Rise Guys from 93.3 The Planet and The US Marine Corps for their annual 28 hour broadcast benefiting Toys for Tots.

Even before the sun came up on the first morning, people arrived with car loads full of toys. This year the event collected $6,531.95 in cash donations and 3,663 toys donated, which triples both the cash and toy donations from the same event last year.

“Looking at what the great people of Greenville have accomplished in 28 hours is truly amazing.  We made a huge jump in collections this year and have set us all up for success in the future,” said First Sergeant Damien DeMalteris. “This was by far the best event I have been a part of in my three years here and I can’t thank everyone enough.”

During the event, everyone who donated was treated to food and drinks and was registered to win prizes including tickets to upcoming shows at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena.

““We anticipated a large turn out this year,” said Steve Sinicropi Vice President and Market Manager for Entercom Upstate, “but this far exceeded our expectations. The Rise Guys, 93.3 The Planet and all of us at Entercom Upstate are proud to be part of such a giving community.”
