Greenville, S.C. | October 24, 2014 – As the 2014-2015 event season gets underway, visitors to the Bon Secours Wellness Arena will not only notice the new building renovations, but will also notice many new, but familiar, names.
Sandlapper Capital Investments is now the sponsor of the Sandlapper Securities VIP Entrance as well as the brand new Sandlapper Premium Services Lobby. The lobby includes a brand new entrance and lounge that all suite and club seat owners can use to enter the building, put tickets in will call, wait for guests and check coats. The lobby opens a half hour before doors for will call and will stay open a half hour after the event ends. “We are excited to grow our partnership with the Bon Secours Wellness Arena,” states SANDLAPPER founder and CEO Trevor L. Gordon, “and proud to align ourselves with the premier gathering place for family fun and entertainment in our community. Collectively there is no better place to continue and remind the Upstate that we too are good community partners. This arena is a true asset to the Upstate.”
The Blood Connection Guest Services Desk is located at the Plaza Entrance and offers an area for guests to receive information and assistance during events as well as ask questions. This desk will not only be staffed by a BSWA Guest Services Representative but also a staff member from The Blood Connection. “The Blood Connection is proud and excited to be a sponsor of the Bon Secours Wellness Arena and the Guest Services Desk. We could not have found a better venue to promote the need for blood donation by reaching out to a wide range of potential donors. Through a variety of digital mediums, we are able to target specific messaging and maximize our impact!” explains Donna Ehrlich with The Blood Connection.
Cree Lighting, located in Raleigh, NC, is working with the building to replace all existing fixtures with LED lights, including all exterior, concourse and arena lighting. Cree has also chosen to come on board as a corporate partner with the Arena. “This strategic partnership aligns the Arena with the world’s leader in LED technology, provides branding opportunities for Cree and generates significant energy savings for the Arena,” states Beth Paul, Interim General Manager of the Bon Secours Wellness Arena.
Additional new corporate partners include Greenville Tech, Piedmont Natural Gas, Consumers Choice, and Sims Agency (d.b.a. Geico Insurance). Each new partner will gain valuable exposure on the ribbon boards, center-hung scoreboard and 40 digital concourse displays.
Some of these sponsors will not only have visibility on the interior digital assets but will also have a presence on the two new digital marquees that are located at the front of the building and off of Church Street. These two marquees see an average of a 100,000 cars daily and offer unparalleled branding opportunities.
“One of the many advantages to having a variety of digital assets and branding opportunities is that we can put together packages that are customized to fit a particular company and marketing budget,” explains Shannon Hansen, Premium Sales and Services Manager. “We want to help our sponsors find the best fit in our arena to get their message out to the over 400,000 visitors that come into our Arena each year.”
New corporate partners join an exclusive group of previous building partners including Bon Secours St Francis, Pepsi, National Guard, HIS Radio, Bojangles, Moes, Charter Business, Pizza Hut, Labor Finders, Fortran, Southern Wine, Cole Law Firm, Crowns Now, Plus Inc, St Clair Signs, Krispy Kreme, Delicious Delights and Sweet Sensations.
Harper Construction was the General Contractor for the second phase of renovations on the Arena and worked closely with building management to bring their vision to life. “We could not be happier with the relationship between our team and the Bon Secours Wellness Arena. Not only is it a fantastic venue for hosting our clients, community partners, and teammates, but the Wellness Arena staff consistently goes the extra mile to make us feel like family. It is truly a priceless partnership,” says Harper Construction’s Kyle Snipes, Director of Business Development.
The most recent round of renovations to the arena included renovating the ticket office, back stage areas, restrooms and concourse, resurfacing the floors, a new roof, two new marquees and the addition of the Bon Secours St Francis wellness interactive space on the concourse.
Phase one of the Arena renovation, which was completed in 2013, saw a renovation of the interior of the arena bowl with the addition of a 360 degree ribbon board, new center hung video board, digital signage, suite renovations, new risers and a new curtaining system.
