Bon Secours Wellness Arena Announces $14.5M Renovation Plan

The Bon Secours Wellness Arena is almost finished with phase one of a $14.5 million three year renovation plan.

The first phase includes installation of digital menu boards and concourse signage, a high-definition video scoreboard and a 360 degree ribbon board, an upgrade of the suites, new risers, a new curtaining system, Ecoglo aisle treads and parking lot improvements. These projects will be completed by the Greenville Road Warriors home opener on October 25th.

Future improvements include new outdoor marquees, upgrades to the concourse and ticket office and renovations to the back stage area.

“Our goal is to give our guests the best possible experience when they attend events here,” said Roger Newton, President and General Manager of the Bon Secours Wellness Arena. “We want the arena to remain a focal point in the Greenville community and to continue to contribute to the quality of life and economic impact of the region.”

The majority of funds for the renovations were provided by Greenville City and County Council. Greenville County Administrator, Joe Kernell said, “Visitors to the Upstate and the Bon Secours Wellness Arena deserve a first-class experience and these funds will help make that a reality.”

Located in Greenville, SC, the Bon Secours Wellness Arena is a 15,000-seat sports and entertainment arena that hosts live events including family shows, sporting events, concerts, minor league hockey, seminars and conventions. Club seats, party suites and luxury suites with premium services concierge are available in the arena. The Bon Secours Wellness Arena is managed by the Greenville Arena District.
